Hot off the presses of yesterday’s post about 10,000 American Express Membership Rewards for entering in Extended Pay, I wanted to remind you of a deal that I first wrote about last month, regarding getting 10,000 or 15,000 Hilton HHonors points for adding an authorized user to your American Express Hilton card (the no-fee kind).  I wrote about it last month, but the deadline is July 20th (Wednesday), so if you didn’t see about it or didn’t sign up, now is the time!

I nearly missed this deal when it was originally posted, but thanks to Danny Deal Guru, I was able to successfully find and get 10,000 Hilton HHonors points for adding an authorized user to my American Express Hilton HHonors card (that’s the no-fee card).  I was targeted for 10,000 points though some were targeted for 15,000.  The terms do not say anything about any spending requirement for the authorized user, all you need is to add one to your card.  I mentioned that it may be targeted, but if it is, it seems to be fairly widespread.  There are 2 ways to find out if you’re eligible

Check your email

If you have an American Express Hilton card, you may have received an email.  Like I said earlier, I looked for it earlier in the day, but couldn’t find it.  I searched Amex, American Express, Hilton, HHonors, everything.  Then I saw that it has a subject of “Spread the Word”, which let me find it

Option 2: Go to the American Express site

You can also check out the authorized user section of American Express’s own site – link.  Once you log in, if you’re eligible, you’ll see something like the following

Note on the left the 10,000 bonus point mention.  You will only get 10,000 points no matter how many authorized users you have, so unless you have a need, I’d just add the one.

If you have an American Express Hilton card, let me know if you were targeted and happy travels!
