The free night promotion features:

One of the benefit of Citi Prestige Card is 4th night free. The credit is based on the average cost of the four nights and excludes taxes and fees. Hi Dan. This is a great deal. Although the base rates are higher than the SPG member rates, it is still quite a bit cheaper. If the Citi 4th night free stacks with this offer it’s even better. I’ll be booking two rooms for 6 nights in London in November. Unfortunately, not all hotels are available for 6 nights with this offer. But, there are a couple of good choices for our trip. I’ll let you know how I get on with the booking.

Would this also work with the Prestige if you book for four nights? I don’t see why it wouldn’t, but maybe I’m missing something …
I think it should. You need to tell the Citi Prestige Concierge the promo code. If you click through the link of the hotel you are interested, you will be able to see the promo code when you pretend to make a booking.
Quick update on our progress with our London trip. I successfully booked one of our rooms at Le Méridien Piccadilly in London using the Starwood Book 4 Nights, Get 2 Free promotion. I emailed Citi Prestige concierge the hotel name, dates, room type, number of guests, details of the promotion code, my SPG account number, and they booked the room quickly. I just received the 4th Night Free credit to my Citi Prestige account. And, of course, points for the full amount of the pre-paid booking. Great deal.
