This deal has been going on for a little bit but in case you missed it, I wanted to make sure you were aware.  I first read about this over at Doctor of Credit.

visaThrough October 31st, 2016 you can get a $25 Visa Gift card for “test driving” a new Kia Optima or Optima Hybrid.  I put “test driving” in air quotes because in my experience you almost NEVER have to actually test drive the car.  This was certainly true with the deal awhile ago offering 7500 American AAdvantage miles for “test driving” a Cadillac or the last Kia test drive offer

In the ~10 times I’ve done similar deals, I’ve only had to actually test drive a car once

My Kia Test Drive experience

There aren’t any Kia dealerships that are super convenient to my general routine, so I printed out the form, and kept it in my car until I was going to be in the area.  Here’s how the conversation went last time Kia did this offer.

I pulled up on a snowy day, walked into the dealership and this is how the conversation went down:

PWaC: “Hey I got this form about a $25 Visa gift card for test driving a car…”

Salesman: “Let me be frank with you – do you want to test drive a car, or are you just looking for the gift card?”

PWaC: “Just the gift card”

Salesman: “Okay.”

He then signed my form, put in the code, and I was on my way.  I estimate that I was in the dealership literally no more than 30 seconds.

Definitely worth doing IMO! You can print out the form to get your $25 Visa gift card with a Kia “test drive” here.  It’s good through October 31st, though they also say that they are limiting it to the first 10,000 responses and won’t announce when it’s over, so I recommend doing it sooner rather than later
