You can earn 40,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $5,000 on your American Express Business Platinum card between July 15 and October 15. Earn an additional 10,000Â Membership Rewards points after spending another $5,000 on your card during the same timeframe.
This means you have 3 months to earn up to 50,000 bonus MR points. If you are targeted and only decide to shoot for the first $5,000 in spending, you’ll effectively be earning 9x MR points on your spending. The latter $5,000 will effectively earn you 3x, which is still better than the standard 2x offered by the new Amex Blue Business Plus.
If you’re targeted, you don’t even need to enroll. Just go out and start spending on your Business Platinum card. Note that the terms of the offer specifically indicate that qualifying purchases do not include loading of prepaid cards or the purchase of other cash equivalents. So treat this as a typical Membership Rewards-earning card sign-up bonus and complete the spend organically.

Then you can sadly join the ranks of the PWaC contributors who aren’t either. How I wish I was targeted for this offer. It’s honestly one of the best spending offers I have seen in a very long time.
It’s encouraging to see American Express sending out offers for one of their Platinum cards. The card is a solid product for its perks, but is not a good one for general spending. Here’s hoping this offers will become more routine (and that I’ll be targeted)?

Thanks for the heads up, I searched my emails and it looks like I received this offer on Friday 7/21.
I also received an offer on my PRG where I can add authorized users and get 5k MR after they spend $500 in three months, up to 20k MR total
For those who have upcoming expenditures over $5,000, they should also be able to earn the extra 0.5 point, bringing your totals to 9.5 and 3.5 respectively. A no brainer if you can swing the spend. Cheers.
