Last year Citi expanded their 24-month language from a per-product basis to a per “card family” basis, making it even harder to churn their cards.
However, there is currently an application link available for the CitiBusiness AAdvantage Platinum Select card WITHOUT the 24 month language!
Card bonus and perks
The card offers a sign up bonus of 50,000 AAdvantage miles after $3,000 in spending within the first 3 months of card membership. This is better than the standard offer, but not the highest ever seen. The annual fee for the card is $95, but it is waived the first year.
Other card benefits include a first free checked bag on domestic AA flights and allows access to the better tier of AA reduced mileage awards. The card also earns 2x miles on American flight purchases, car rentals, and gas stations and has no foreign transaction fees.
The CitiBusiness MasterCard also offers Group 1 boarding, which I think has been changed to Group 5. American recently rolled nine different boarding groups. I’m 99% sure the card doesn’t get you into the new Group 1.
