Although as first class passengers flying out of Chicago O’Hare airport on Japan Airlines we had access to the AA flagship lounge ([REVIEW] American Airlines flagship lounge Chicago O’Hare), we decided to take a walk around the airport to stretch our legs and also check out the 2 American Airlines Admirals Clubs in Chicago O’Hare airport. Yup that’s right – as a American (or oneworld) first class passenger at ORD, you have access to THREE different Admirals Club locations.

AA Admirals Club Chicago Concourse H and Concourse K

The “main” Chicago Admirals Club is between Concourse H and Concourse K, in the crosswalk between gates H6 and K6.

The Admirals Club hours for this AA Admirals Club is from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.  When we first arrived, the agents were very confused and told us that based on our class of service (flying first class to Japan) we should go to the AA flagship lounge.  When we explained that we had already been there and were just exploring the different AA Admirals Club locations in Chicago airport, there was no problem admitting us.  When we got into the Admirals Club, were there at the American Airlines Admirals Club, they had a variety of breakfast foods out

There were definitely a lot more people at this AA Admirals Club location, but it’s just a lot bigger than the AA flagship lounge, so there was still plenty of seating.  There are also showers available at this Admirals Club location

AA Admiral Club Chicago Concourse G

There is also an AA Admirals Club ORD in Concourse G.  This American Airlines Admirals Club location is across from gate G8 in Concourse G

There was signage out front of the Admirals Club location indicating that this was a “satellite” Admirals Club location, and that the main American Airlines Admirals Club Chicago location was between Concourse K and Concourse H (reviewed above).  Again, when we presented our boarding passes, they told us we should go to the flagship lounge, and again, once we explained that we were just checking it out, there was no problem admitting us into the AA Admiral Club Chicago location.

Of the 2 AA Admiral Club locations in the Chicago airport, this one was definitely the smallest – I’d say comparable in total size to the AA flagship lounge

The food there looked appetizing, though we didn’t actually try any of it

After touring these different AA Admirals Club Chicago O’Hare locations, we walked back to the flagship lounge before boarding our flight to Japan.  I would say that if you don’t have a ton of time in ORD, I would just visit either of the 2 AA Admirals Club locations – whichever one is closest to your gate.  If you have more time, I’d recommend the “main” Admirals Club location between Concourse H and Concourse K, and of course, if you’re flying international first class, definitely just hang out at the American Airlines flagship lounge location!
