After checking out the Aer Lingus lounge in the Boston airport, we thought we’d check out the Boston Airport Air France lounge. The Boston Airport Air France lounge is located on the other side of the E terminal, near Gate 3A

which conveniently is the gate that our Aer Lingus Boston to Dublin flight was departing out of!  You take an elevator (or stairs) down one level from the terminal.

Boston Airport Air France lounge access

We were flying Business Class on Aer Lingus, which gave us access to the Aer Lingus lounge, but since we were not flying on Air France nor do I have any sort of elite status, we used the American Express Platinum card Priority Pass benefit to give us access

(SEE ALSO: How to use the American Express Priority Pass Platinum card benefit)

I had forgotten to bring Carolyn’s Priority Pass card (actually I brought 2 of them with my name on it?!?) but thankfully I was able to call Priority Pass to get her account number and the agent had no problem processing her entry, though I had to call twice because I wrote the number down wrong the first time

Boston Airport Air France lounge seating

Compared to the Aer Lingus lounge, the seating at the Boston Airport Air France lounge is substantial.

There was never any problem finding a place to seat, though I would say that most of the seating was individual – it was a bit harder finding a comfortable place for 2 people to sit together.

Boston Airport Air France lounge food

The food at the Boston Airport Air France lounge was good. There was nothing amazing, but a wide array of sandwiches, a cheese selection and drinks.

At one point, an attendant even brought out fresh cookies and offered them to each person in the lounge.

It was nothing over the top, but compared to most Priority Pass lounges that I’ve been to, it was above average

Boston Airport Air France lounge wi-fi

The two most important things about an airport lounge are the food and the wi-fi, and I have to say that the wifi in the Boston Airport Air France lounge was pretty mediocre. We had to keep moving around to try and find a good signal. For awhile, the wifi seemed to work tolerably well in one particular corner, but then it gave out

I was able to get enough of a signal to write a few posts (including uploading a few images), but it took a few tries.

Of course, since our first flight was canceled, we got the joy of visiting the Boston Airport Air France lounge a SECOND time! It was just as exciting the day after, though I’m glad we finally got onboard a flight to Europe then and didn’t have to visit it a THIRD time!
