Chase Ultimate Rewards are one of my favorite miles and points currencies.  While they can be useful as “cash” points, worth as much as 1.5 cents per point if you have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, you’ll get their most value by transferring them to one of their now 13 transfer partners

Chase offering 2 new transfer partners

I got word today that Chase is now offering 2 new transfer partners – Aer Club from AerLingus and Iberia Plus from Iberia.  You could already transfer from Chase to British Airways, and with British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus now all being part of one company, this news is no surprise.

So whereas before you could transfer from Chase to British Airways and then British Airways to Iberia or Aer Lingus (with a few exceptions), now you can directly transfer 1:1 from Chase to AerClub and Iberia Plus.

Note that you can also transfer American Express Membership Rewards to Iberia and British Airways at 1:1.

While short-haul flights in the US for 4500 Avios used to be one of the best deals out there, you can still book many of these flights nearly as cheap with Iberia Avios.  See the guide on how you can still book shorthaul flights with Avios
