Via Mommy Points comes news that Frontier is offering a sale with one-way routes as low as $20 one-way.  These types of sales happen fairly regularly across different airlines.  I have to say that personally I get a little more excited over a Frontier sale vs. say a Southwest fare sale, since Frontier flies from Cincinnati whereas Southwest does not.

There are a ton of city pairs available for only $20.  Here is a sampling from my hometown of Cincinnati (CVG)

Flights to Dallas, Houston or Atlanta are $20, though note the date and blackout restrictions.  For dates, that is due to Frontier’s limited schedule between the

It’s not just Cincinnati that’s on sale – I saw $20 sales to various cities from Austin, Colorado Springs, New Orleans, Orlando, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and just about every city that Frontier serves.

Tips for flying Frontier

If you’re flying Frontier though, you’ll want to make sure to know what you’re getting in to.  When I asked for tips for flying Frontier with a family, I got a LOT of good advice.  They charge for bags (even carryons) and of course food and seat assignments.

The other thing to watch out for is the fact that on most routes they only fly one plane a day, and they don’t have interline arrangements with any other airlines, so if there is weather or other IRROPS, you’re kind of out of luck.

These fares were available even without membership in Frontier’s “Discount Den” which is their paid membership club for cheaper fares.  Check out the full list of cities on sale – but hurry up, you have to purchase by 8/12/2016 (that’s today!)

Planning on taking advantage of any of these $20 fares?
