Is it worth it?
If you have a lot of travel coming up, and want to credit your miles for an upcoming vacation or trip, it could be! I’d probably recommend crediting your miles to another SkyTeam member, like Delta or Air France/KLM.
If you have a domestic trip in Vietnam coming up, it could get you 1/18 of the way to a free roundtrip, which is … something! Sadly, you won’t be able to contribute more miles from a convertible point program, like AMEX Membership Rewards, as Vietnam Airlines doesn’t have any partnerships like that.
Conclusion
Free is free, but I’m not sure how much use you’ll get out of them!
