I came across a piece of interesting news the other day – Hilton has announced that they are hiring 500 full-time and part-time reservation specialists.
From the press release:
To support the continued growth in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio, the company is expanding its team of travel professionals throughout the country. The new virtual Reservations Sales positions will provide inbound reservation support for Hilton guests. The positions are ideal for stay-at-home parents, military spouses, retirees and college students, who require more flexibility and freedom, as it allows them to earn an income from the comfort of their home. Hiring for the new Reservations Sales Specialist positions is underway. Interested candidates can apply by visiting Hilton’s careers website.

I like it!  With this announcement, Hilton is providing opportunities to both veterans (they have pledged to hire 10,000 veterans by 2018) as well as stay-at-home parents

So just think – the next time you’re traveling around the world and call in to book a hotel stay, the person on the other end might be traveling around the world too!
