As predicted, the IHG Point Breaks list for booking November 24 – February 28, 2015 went live today and is now bookable. As always, the official list is posted here on IHG’s site, though it still irks me that it is super hard to find this list when Googling…
Many of the hotels will be bookable all the way through February, though each hotel only sets aside a certain number of rooms to qualify for the 5000 points a night rate, so the “nicer” ones will end up selling out quickly. If you have your eye on any of the Intercontinental or Crowne Plaza hotels, I’d try to book those sooner rather than later.
As always, to make things more useful, I created a map of all of the IHG / Priority Club Point Break December 2014 – February 2015 hotels.
I did take a quick glance at the hotels listed on the official IHG page and they appear to be the same as the ones listed in the Point Breaks preview released last week, but if anyone spots any differences, let me know!
Point Breaks hotels listed by price
I also wanted to take the time to point out the work by Jeffrey over at Weekend Blitz, who also created a similar map of the Priority Club Point Breaks hotels – I had an issue this afternoon where I saw his map and thought that he had “stolen” my map. The maps do look similar, which is only natural, since after all, they do show the exact same hotels 😀
Anyways, we got that cleared up and I wanted to call out to my readers one neat feature that he put on his recap of the Priority Club Point Breaks hotels – a list of a “sample” price, so you can see which hotels are the best “deals”. I’m not sure where he got his data (maybe he did a sample booking at every hotel?), but it certainly seems reasonable.
Here’s his Top 5 Priority Club Point Breaks December 2014 – February 2015 hotels, sorted by average price:
- Crowne Plaza Lyon (France) – $238 / night
- Even Hotels Norwalk (Connecticut USA) – $175 / night
- Holiday Inn Express Fort St. John (British Columbia Canada) – $170 / night
- Crowne Plaza Fredericton-Lord Beaverbrook (New Brunswick Canada) – $168
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chickasha (Oklahoma USA) – $167 / night – I thought that was a typo and supposed to be $67 but it appears correct. Guess lodging prices are really high in SW Oklahoma 😀 )
For the full list by price, see the post on Weekend Blitz.
