I’ve always enjoyed maps, trains and subways, especially the New York City subway, which is the largest in the world.  In fact, one of my travel bucket list items is to visit every stop in the NYC subway.

At one point, I was doing research about how to set the record for the Subway Challenge, which is visiting every station in a record time (current record is about 22 1/2 hours), but that ship has probably sailed…

In any case, an article out of the New York Times this weekend caught my eye: the Fulton Center, which is a new transit center in Lower Manhattan has opened after several years of construction.

The Fulton Center is planned to serve 300,000 riders on the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, E, J, N, R, and Z lines.  Wikipedia also has some good information about the Fulton Center.
