Alaska Airlines Spring Bonus Promotion
This bonus runs from now until April 12th, and gives you 300 bonus Alaska Airlines points when you spend $150 and 1,000 bonus Alaska Airlines points when you spend $350. This is the same as the current United promotion, and It’s also exactly the same as the American Airlines shopping portal bonus from last month, which makes sense, since all three are operated by Cartera.
Is it worth it?

It’s a good question, because on the face of it, 300 – 1,000 points isn’t really all great. I think why they get so much press it that it’s often seen as free points. If you were planning to buy things on the internet already, why not maximize the earning potential? Take Lord & Taylor for example:
If you go to Lord & Taylor on 5th Avenue here in NYC and spend $350 on your Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® Credit Card, you’ll earn just the points from credit card spend — 350 points.
If you shop through the Alaska portal and spend $350, you’ll earn 350 points for using your Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® Credit Card, 1,400 points for the portal bonus, and 1,000 points for the bonus — 2,750 points. That’s almost eight times the points for buying the same exact thing(s)!
