The Chase IHG 80,000 point card is one of the better cards out there I think.  In addition to the 80,000 points (which are good for up to 16 hotel nights when using PointBreaks as redemptions), you also get 1 free night at ANY hotel each year with your $49 annual fee.

I got the IHG card a few months ago, and then I realized that it’s smart to have both of us have the card, since we would then 2 free nights that we could use on the same stay.  So Carolyn got the card last month as well.

As part of the welcome packet (which I usually throw away), there was an interesting flyer.

It’s really as simple as it seems – go to that website, put in the promotion code, and “watch” the 90 second video.  Then 1,000 points post to your account.  1000 points for both of us like nothin!  So if you signed up for the IHG card, make sure to actually look at the welcome packet that they send you!

If you’re into watching videos for points, you can get 300 free La Quinta points for watching a video as well (no signup required).
