Last month we wrote about 4 new offers that came out from Hilton and American Express. There were some that were offering 75,000 Hilton points as a welcome offer and one that was a Hilton 125,000 point offer. It now appears that the welcome offers on these Hilton cards is going up – as high as a Hilton 150,000 point offer!

You also get top tier Diamond status by spending $40,000 on the card in a year and the possibility of 2 free weekend nights with spend. The 125,000 point offer on the Hilton Honors Ascend and the Hilton 150,000 point offer on the Hilton Honors Aspire are higher than we have ever seen. The other 2 offers (75,000 for the no-fee version) and 125,000 on the Business card are matching the highest welcome offers we’ve seen

I have the AE Ascend card and just got an email offering me a 150,000 bonus sign-up. I seem to remember that I can only get one bonus from them. Their rules seemed a little ambiguous to me on that point. Thanks.
Despite not putting so much spend on say the Hilton Honors and being offered an upgrade you would still be entitled to the points?

I have the Hilton Honors no fee and don’t use it much but still got an upgrade offer for the ascend. I’ve heard how if you don’t use your amex cards much they will deny you points. But if they give you an offer it seems they have to give you those points once you meet the msr…Correct?
What’s the difference between spending 3000 to get 150000 points for say 3 nights at at hotel for 50000 each vs paying for the same room at $1200?
The difference is the $3000 you spend can be on ANYTHING, like all the things that you normally spend money on
