If you’re looking for a warm weather escape in May, IHG is offering a 50% off flash sale on several different warm weather resorts (mostly in Mexico)

How to book

Intercontinental Panama City

Intercontinental Panama City

The sale is going on from now through noon on May 8th, for stays through the end of May.  Some of those hotels had cash rates as low as $60-70 / night, so I wouldn’t waste my points on those, but there were several including the IC Cancun and the Holiday Inn Resort in Aruba that had cash rates over $200 for some dates

As always, the worst deals are the ones where you spend your money on something that you don’t really want, so act prudently!

Note that several IHG hotels changed category (and thus, the number of points required to book a night) on May 1st. To see a map of which hotels changed, you can click the map above or go directly to the post of IHG category changes.
