Just last week, Alaska Airlines announced 13 new nonstop services from the Bay Area. Continuing adding to its big expansion out of California, Alaska announced yesterday that it is starting six new daily nonstop services from San Diego!

Alaska New San Diego Routes

The six new destinations from San Diego include Albuquerque, New Mexico; Austin, Texas; Kansas City, Missouri; Minneapolis/St. Paul; Omaha, Nebraska; and St. Louis. The new flights will be using 76-seat Embraer E175 jets, which feature 12 seats in first class, 12 seats in premium class and 52 seats in the main cabin. Table below shows the starting dates and schedules of the new services.

By late August, Alaska will have 40 daily nonstop services to 28 destinations from San Diego, including services to Hawaii (Kauai, Big Island and Maui) and Mexico (Puerto Vallarta and San Jose del Cabo). For those of you who live on the other side of the country, there really is no more excuse not to get the Bank of America Alaska Airline credit card for the $99 annual companion certificate.

On the redemption side, the new routes to San Diego also mean more ways to connect to the daily flight to Tokyo on Alaska’s global airline partner Japan Airlines. You can visit Tokyo for however long you want before continuing onto other parts of Asia, all in one award ticket!
