After our night at the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui and our day layover in Hong Kong, we made our way to the airport for our flight onward to Singapore. With a few hours of time to kill, we first did a tour of the 4 (FOUR!) Cathay business class lounges in the Hong Kong airport before heading to Gate 46 to board our flight to Singapore. Although the tickets we booked were first class tickets, and our longhaul Japan Airlines flight from Chicago to Tokyo was in first class, our flights from Tokyo to Hong Kong and this flight from Hong Kong to Singapore were operated by aircraft (a 777-200 in this case) that didn’t have a first class cabin.
Entering the plane and checking out the seats
We spent a bunch of time in the different business class lounges and so we were a little bit late to the gate (still 25 minutes before the scheduled flight time). As we approached the boarding area, we saw a huge line already queued up for economy. Thankfully the business class line was short and we were able to walk right on to the plane.
Our seats were 15A and 15C, so I was surprised when row 15 was the 3rd row of the plane!
While they still didn’t lie flat, Unlike the seats on our Japan Airlines business class flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong, the seats on this plane reclined quite a bit more and there was a large foot cubby area as well.
The IFE was in the headrest of the seat in front of us, and while it was smaller than the screens on my first class flights on Japan Airlines or Emirates, it was definitely bigger than the screen on the Japan Airlines business class flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong.
There was also a spot in between the screens to put your phone with USB charging 
Cathay Pacific Business Class Food
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the food as the food on my last business class flight (on Japan Airlines from Tokyo to Hong Kong) was fairly subpar. I mean it was better than peanuts and pretzels, but Carolyn’s veggie meal especially was pretty subpar.
So I was pleased when the food on this Cathay Pacific Business Class flight was quite tasty. I had the baked salmon with Hollandaise sauce
as well as the “afternoon tea set”
After only a few hours on our Cathay Pacific Business Class flight (it’s only a little over 3 hours total flight time), we were descending into the bright lights of Singapore

Looks pretty similar to our flight from Hong Kong to Seoul back in March. We had breakfast and it was really good definitely made up for the subpar seats…
