Between now and September 20 you can get 2 Honors points per ThankYou point when transferring your points to Hilton. The normal rate is 1.5 Honors points per ThankYou point, so this amounts to a 33% increase over the typical rate.

Is it worth it?

Depends. Overall, this still isn’t that great of a use of ThankYou points in my opinion. Ever since Hilton moved to a revenue-based program, you can expect to get roughly 0.5 cents per point under the majority of circumstances. You can still get better value during times of peak demand when award rates cap out, but it has become harder to find these redemptions.

So, valuing Hilton points at 0.5 each, this makes each converted ThankYou point worth 1.0 cent. Hardly anything to get excited about.

But if you are close to an award you want, it could totally make sense. I would absolutely not convert points speculatively, however.

Conclusion

While this may seem like a great promotional transfer rate, it’s nothing to get excited about. I would only convert points if I was close to a specific award and had an immediate use.
