icon-hertzVia The Deal Mommy, Hertz is offering some pretty good deals on one way car rentals.

I’ve written about one way car rentals before – they are based on the concept that car rentals are more prevalent in the southern United States during the winter, and in the northern United States during the summer.  So in the spring, car rental companies want to give incentives for people driving south to north, and in the fall, people going north to south.

There are actually 2 separate deals going on at Hertz

Hertz Florida one way car rental

The first is a deal for one way car rentals going to FloridaInvalid request error occurred. (or Georgia or South Carolina)

hertz-one-way-car-rental-2015

  • From now through December 31st, you can pick up in Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island and New York City Locations
  • From now through November 28th, you can pick up in South Carolina & Georgia

Both deals allow you to drop off at participating locations in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.  Note that Atlanta International Airport, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Panama City, Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, and the surrounding Northwest Florida areas are excluded

Hertz Arizona one way car rentals

The other offer is doing a one way car rental into ArizonaInvalid request error occurred..

  • From now through February 28, 2016, you can pick up in Southern California, Southern Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Reno NV, or New Mexico
  • Starting on October 28th through February 28, 2016, you can pick up in Northern California, Washington, Oregon, and Northern Nevada

In both cases, you can drop off anywhere in Arizona

I was able to do sample bookings for both the Florida and Arizona deals and they came up as $7.99 / day for the Florida offer and $9 / day for the Arizona offer.  With taxes and such (and other rental car scammy fees), they ended up being about $15 / day out the door.

If you’re not able to take advantage of either of these one way car rental deals, I definitely recommend Autoslash (my review), which was one of my Top 10 miles and points tools and is my go-to tool for renting a car.
