Occasionally I see some interesting travel related products being crowd funded that I think you guys might be interested in. We’ve talked about Fluent Forever (an app to learn languages), and the Voyage Travel Bag among others. Here’s a few of the travel related crowd funded projects that I’ve seen

Today I wanted to talk a bit about the Aroo travel bar – which is billed as a sleek travel compressor. It was on Kickstarter but is now on sale through Indiegogo
Aroo travel bar features
The stated benefit of the Aroo travel bar is that it lets you vacuum compress your clothes to save space in luggage. It includes a variety of adapters that fit any retail vacuum bag. It weighs about 4 ounces and charges with a micro-USB adapter
Here are a few pictures of the Aroo travel bar

Aroo travel bar backing levels and cost
The Aroo travel bar was fully funded on Kickstarter with over $40,000 in boosts. It’s now transitioned over to Indiegogo where it’s raised an additional $8,800. Here are a few of the levels that you can back the project at
- $54 for one Aroo travel bar with free shipping
- $99 for two Aroo travel bars
- $144 for three Aroo travel bars
Again, here is the link to back the Aroo travel bar kickstarter – there is not currently a stated end date to back the project but the Aroo travel vacuum bar is scheduled to ship November 2018
What do you think of this travel vacuum bar? Planning on backing this? Leave your experience in the comments!

Most of those bags are junk and only last 2 trips. Wasted money. Will the bar work on yours? Who knows until you wasted your money on the bar.
The Aroo mini bar is universal, that’s the beauty of it. Just pick up a new bag wherever you are and continue on you way. 🙂
