Norwegian has just announced seasonal direct flights between New York and Athens, beginning this June. Pricing through the summer is not particularly compelling, but that changes come fall, when prices dip as low as $160 one way. That’s the price for “Low Fare” which includes a carry-on bag but no seat selection and, importantly, no meals. That said, bringing snacks for the flight will undoubtedly cost you less than buying up to the next fare.
This price is available for limited Tuesday and Wednesday departures. Return flights are pricier, but this does provide a good price to position for a new trip or to take advantage of the periodic sale fares low-cost carriers run from Europe to the US.
