I saw a video the other day that I thought was super interesting. It was about a guy who attempted to visit all 7 domestic United hub airports in one day. The 7 airports that he attempted to visit were (in order):
- Newark (EWR)
- Washington Dulles (IAD)
- Chicago (ORD)
- Houston (IAH)
- Denver (DEN)
- Los Angeles (LAX)
- San Francisco (SFO)
You guys know that I am a sucker for any kind of challenge like this, whether it’s jumping in all 5 Great Lakes in one day, or visiting every county in Ohio in 24 hours, or visiting the 67 counties in the 6 New England states.
Visiting 7 United hubs in 1 day
Back in September 2021, Jeb Brooks attempted to visit all 7 of the domestic United Hubs in one day. He posted a video of his travels. I won’t spoil you on whether he made it or not, so you’ll have to watch the video. It’s about 15 minutes long, but personally I found it pretty entertaining.

You can see the route that he took in the Youtube thumbnail above, I was playing around with Google Flights, and I think this was probably the basic route
I couldn’t get Google Flights to do a 6 leg multi-city journey, so you’ll see that the last one (DEN-LAX-SFO) had a connection in it. In the video, he mentions that he had to book the ticket as 2 separate tickets of 3 flights each.
I definitely found this an interesting video, though I’m not sure I’m keen to try it out myself anytime soon 🙂

Five, on a “milk run” flight, some time ago, ATL to STL. Back in the 1980s, before all the mergers, I was on a Southern Airlines flight from Atlanta to St Louis. The aircraft left Atlanta, and stopped in Chattanooga, Nashville and Memphis, before ending in St Louis. Appointment schedule caused me to miss the nonstop, but but quick turnarounds in each city got m there sooner than any available connection.
