In 2025, as part of a trip with my son’s Scout troop to Northern Tier, I stayed one night at the AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth. This AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth review will give an idea of the different amenities and features of the hotel and hopefully help you decide if you want to stay here if you’re looking for a Duluth hotel.

AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth location
The AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth is located at 901 Joshua Avenue, Duluth, Minnesota 55811. It’s located across the street from the Miller Hill Mall, and three miles from Duluth International Airport (DLH), right off U.S. Highway 53, which is the main highway in the area.

AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth cost
We were booking this as part of a Scout trip, so we were looking for a cheap Duluth hotel, but didn’t want to stay in the absolute cheapest hotel out there. The total after taxes came to $163.05, and I booked 3 rooms for our trip.

AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth review – room
We booked 3 “2 queen” rooms and divided them up between the 8 of us that were staying. The beds and pillows were comfortable enough.

Here is the other side of the room, with a desk and TV

This is the bathroom, which was small but functional. The shower had good temperature and pressure.

AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth wifi and amenities
Wifi is complimentary in the lobby and in the guest rooms. The AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth wifi speed was decent and I had no issues using it, though I forgot to get a screenshot of the speed.
There is an indoor pool as well.

There is a small fitness center.

AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth hotel review – parking
The AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth does have complimentary parking, though the lot is fairly small. I had read a few of the reviews talking about people not being able to find a space for their vehicle. We were driving a 15 passenger van, and the lot was definitely cramped, but we were able to find room, though I could imagine it might get tight when there is snow or during more popular times.
AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth food
Breakfast is complimentary at the AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth, and they had a few hot items (eggs, sausage, biscuits) as well as a pancake maker.

As with most hotels these days, there is a small market near the front desk where you can buy various snacks.

The prices were outrageous as usual

The Bottom Line – AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth review
If you are looking for a cheap Duluth hotel, I thought that the AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth had several things going for it. It was very easy to get to from the highway (or airport), and the price was decent. I think the AmericInn by Wyndham Duluth could be a great option if you’re looking for a Duluth hotel.
