I saw a funny Instagram post the other day about driving to the airport that I thought many of you might enjoy. Maybe it’s just me, but this resonated to me about whether you should go to the “Arrivals” section or the “Departures” section.

Is It Arrivals or Departures?

Here’s the post – it’s only a few seconds long.

If you can’t (or don’t want to) watch the video, it starts off with

  • “My brain every time I go to the airport”
  • It then shows a picture of the spot on the approach road where you have to choose between going to the “Arrivals” or “Departures” section.
  • He then says “Well I’m arriving now…. but then I’m departing”
  • “and once I arrive, then I’m departing too”

I mean I get it, I sometimes have a moment of panic trying to think if I am “arriving” to the airport or “departing”. I mean no matter what, when I see those signs, I’m “arriving” to the airport, right?

The Bottom Line – Arrivals or Departures

And before you leave angry comments, yes, I understand the difference between the Arrivals and Departures sections of the airport (as I’m sure the guy who posted the original video does too). I just thought it was amusing and hope that some of you do as well.
