In early 2026, my wife and I took a trip to Florida to get away from the Ohio cold. As part of this trip, we stayed 4 nights at the Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys. This Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys review will give an idea of the different amenities and features of the hotel and hopefully help you decide if you want to stay here if you’re looking for a Florida Keys hotel.

Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys location

The Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys is located at 13201 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida, USA, 33050. It’s right on US 1 which is the main (only) highway in the Florida Keys. It’s at around mile marker 55 in the middle of Marathon, which is in the Middle Keys.

It has a fairly large campus, and is waterfront.

Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Marathon Florida Keys cost

We had originally looked at staying in Key West, but eventually decided to stay in Marathon and just do a day trip to Key West. We booked it with 4 of the 5 50K free night certificates that we got from an offer on the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card a few months ago. We topped them off with 13,000 Bonvoy points total for the 4 nights (2 nights needed 8,000 and 5,000 points and 2 nights were under the 50K cap). The cash cost for our nights was $341 (before taxes), or a total of $1,534.95 for the 4-night stay. So 213,000 points saved us $1534.95, or 0.72 cents per point. This is around average for Marriott points, but gave outstanding value for free night certificates.

Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Marathon Florida Keys review – room

We booked a 1 King room. The beds and pillows were comfortable enough, especially after the uncomfortable bed at the Best Western Gateway to the Keys.

There was a microwave, closet and minifridge

The bathroom was small but functional. The shower had good temperature and pressure.

Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys wifi and amenities

Wifi is complimentary in the lobby and in the guest rooms. The Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys wifi speed was great, and I had no issues using it while we were there.

There is a computer and printer out in the lobby (no separate business center)

There is an indoor pool as well.

There was a poolside tiki bar that offers drinks, but it was closed every day we were there (I’m guessing because of the cold weather?)

The fitness center is in a separate building, which also has a small gift shop and a place where you can book different excursions.

The fitness center had a decent array of equipment. I was immediately struck by the layout of the “motivational” text in the background. It says

Don’t Wish For
It. Work For It.
I assume it was laid out as it is to make the 2 lines more even, but am I the only one that thinks it is weird to have the last word of the first sentence on the second line? I think that it would have looked fine to put it up on the first line.

Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys hotel review – parking

The Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys does have onsite parking, which is $20 per day. Boat trailer parking is also available on a first come first serve basis for an additional $25/day.

Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys food

Breakfast is complimentary at the Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys – it’s served in a breakfast area right off the lobby.

a room with a table and chairs

There is also an outdoor seating area which I assume gets a lot of use when it’s warmer. When we were there in February 2026, it was historically cold (highs in the 60s), so nobody ate out here that I saw.

The Bottom Line – Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys review

If you are looking for a Florida Keys hotel, I thought that the Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys had several things going for it. It was very easy to get to from the highway (or airport), and the price was decent. I think the Fairfield Inn Marathon Florida Keys could be a great option if you’re looking for a Florida Keys hotel.
