KEY LINK: Find the World of Hyatt credit card welcome offer
Chase and Hyatt just announced a new credit card and… it’s a pretty exciting card. Just about everything that has changed on the card is a positive change
World of Hyatt 60000 point welcome offer
The current Chase World of Hyatt 60000 point welcome offer is
- 40,000 World of Hyatt points after you spend $3000 in the first 3 months of having the card
- 20,000 MORE World of Hyatt points after you spend a total of $6000 ($3000 more) in the first 6 months of having the card
- 1 free Category 1-4 night on your anniversary
- ANOTHER free Category 1-4 night on your anniversary if you spend $15000 on the card
- $95 annual fee ($20 more than the current card; not waived)
World of Hyatt card category bonuses
The World of Hyatt card earns 4x points at Hyatt hotels. It also earns 2x points at restaurants, on airlines tickets purchased directly from the airlines, on local transit and commuting and on fitness club and gym memberships and of course 1x on all other purchases.
These aren’t amazing category bonuses but they’re not bad, and at least the World of Hyatt card seems like the best or one of the best cards to use AT Hyatt hotels (as compared to other hotel or airline cards where a bank card is usually better than the co-branded card)
World of Hyatt card anniversary bonuses
As I mentioned above, you get 1 free certificate on your anniversary and the option to get another one with extra spend.
They are restricted to Category 1-4 hotels but you can still find lots of good value there (as opposed to some of the other restricted brand category certificates). We used ours at the Grand Hyatt Washington DC (below) and have an upcoming stay at the Grand Hyatt Taipei
World of Hyatt card elite benefits
Another nice benefit of this Chase World of Hyatt card is that you get automatic Hyatt Discoverist status with the card. This is the mid-level status and isn’t as good as say, Hilton Gold status, but still earns extra points. You do also get 5 elite qualifying nights towards your status and 2 additional qualifying nights every time you spend $5000 on the card.
Where to get the World of Hyatt 60000 point offer
You are only eligible to get the new World of Hyatt 60000 point offer if you don’t have the current Hyatt credit card AND you haven’t received the bonus within the past 24 months. Some current Chase Hyatt credit card holders are being offered an upgrade offer of 2,000 points, which is not super appealing
You can find my affiliate link for the World of Hyatt offer here. If you do apply for the card through my links, I appreciate the support. If you like other bloggers more than me :-), I’m sure most other bloggers have links, or if you want to just put money in Chase’s bank account, you can apply directly on Chase’s website.
While initially it appeared that the World of Hyatt card was not subject to the Chase 5/24 rule, it appears now that it is. So if you’ve applied for 5 (or more) cards within the past 24 months, you’re not likely to be approved

Still not subject to 5/24? Woohoo! I’ve been watching this card for a couple months now and can’t believe that waiting might end up working out for me.
Discoverist is the very basic status level (i.e. Silver). Explorist is mid-tier (more comparable to Gold).
Interesting offer. I have not stayed at a Hyatt in years as Marriott & Hilton became favorites. I may apply just to get back to trying them again
Yes this sounds awesome..hook me uplol
“One thing to note is that early reports are indicating that this World of Hyatt 60,000 point offer does NOT appear to be subject to Chase 5/24, which is nice”
Called Chase and was told that every open account counts. So where is your source of information. Would be nice to have a free ride for a change.
2 comments – 1) Never call Chase about things like this. 2) This card was not subject to 5/24 when it first came out (and when this post was first published), but it appears that it is now subject to 5/24. I’ve edited the post
