Amazon is back with a targeted promotion where you can get $15 off an Amazon purchase for adding an American Express card to your Amazon wallet. It is targeted, but there is also a promotion page where you can check to see if you are eligible. The promo has been going on for a little bit but it looks like it was just re-added again. As always, take a look and only purchase what things make the most sense for you. Please note that all links on this (and any post) include my Amazon affiliate link. As an Amazon associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

Amazon / Amex $15 off promotion

Here’s how you can potentially get the discount

  • Check if you are targeted at the promotion page
  • Add an American Express card to your Amazon wallet
  • Use your promo code AMEXPD15OFF at checkout for a purchase of $15.01 or more

This is targeted, so if you’re not eligible, you’ll get a message that says “Sorry, you’re not eligible for this offer right now.” I have seen reports that people were able to un-add their Amex cards and then re-add them awhile later and take advantage of this, but of course YMMV

Terms and conditions

  • Customers will receive a discount of $10 off when they (1) add an eligible American Express Card to their Amazon wallet; (2) add a minimum of $10.01 in eligible products to their Amazon cart; (3) apply the promotional code at checkout; and (4) use their eligible American Express Card at checkout. The promotion will expire upon Customer’s use of the promotional code.
The promotion will end on the earlier of (a) 5:00 PM PT on 7/31/2024, or (b) the time at which 27,500 eligible customers have redeemed the offer.
  • One-time offer applies only to the purchase of at least $15.01 of eligible products using an eligible American Express Card added to your Amazon wallet, and requires entry and application of the promotion code at checkout.
  • Eligible cards for offer include American Express credit and charge cards.
  • Customers enrolled in Shop with Points may use Membership Rewards® points at checkout.
  • Offer only applies to products shipped and sold by Amazon.com. Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if “fulfilled by Amazon.com” or “Prime Eligible”.

More Ways To Save Money at Amazon

Amazon often has promotions where you can get a percentage or dollar value off a purchase by using at least 1 credit card point (like Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, etc). These deals are typically targeted, but it’s a good idea to regularly check if you’re eligible, because these deals come around quite a bit. Note that it is generally a bad value to use your points to shop at Amazon, but it’s definitely worth using 1 point to save $20 – $50.
