With the holiday season upon us, pretty much everyone is trying to get a piece of consumers’ holiday spending and Citibank is no exception. I received an email today from Citibank with an offer for a $30 statement credit for purchases at Amazon.com
The fine print
- Earn a one‑time $30 statement credit after you make at least three Amazon.com purchases of $30 or more each with your Citi® card between 11/14/2018 and 12/31/2018.
- The statement credit will be applied to your account within 2 billing cycles after the eligible purchases are posted.
- This promotional offer is non-transferrable and applies to the account ending in the last 4 digits referenced in this offer.
So it does appear targeted, but check your email. My email came with subject line “Daniel, earn $30 back when you shop at Amazon.com with Citi”. I got mine on my Prestige card, but others have reported receiving it on the Premier, AT&T Access and other Citi cards
How to maximize the Amazon shopping offer
Of course the BEST way to maximize this offer is to use it for actual things that you want to buy on Amazon :-). If you want to lock in this offer, you might just buy 3 $30 Amazon gift cards to reload (affiliate link; thanks for supporting the site). Consider it a free $30 off Amazon – not too shabby!
You may want to consider making your purchase in different amounts ($30.01, $30.02, $30.03) so that the purchases aren’t combined
Anyone else targeted by this offer?
