Southwest is now launching sales pretty much weekly, so that’s what I’ll call them from now on. This week’s sale is called the “4-day sale” and is available through their website.
As usual, there are deals below the advertised price (sale prices are officially $59, but $49 are readily available), and potentially below the “sale page” price as well. The steal of the sale might be between Chicago and Atlanta, for $49 each way (advertised at $111). That’s a basic economy price, but 2 free bags. Other lower priced routes include West Palm Beach to Detroit, advertised at $168 but available for $89. Or between New Orleans and Washington, S.C. advertised at $120 but available for $94. Good for family visits or sightseeing on a budget.
Whenever Southwest hosts a sale, make sure you check any existing flights you have already purchased. Southwest has no change fees, and if the sale price is lower you will receive a credit for the difference usable for future SWA fares. Plus, if you are unsure after you buy one off these flights, remember that any fare marketed in the US is free to cancel within 24 hours.
Sale ends Friday at 11:59pm so act now.
