I’m always interested in seeing what my favorite SkyPesos currency is up to. Well, today Delta has just updated its weekly flash sale, and while most of its domestic fares aren’t worth writing home about:

There are a couple of deals to be found on the US-Europe flight routes:

Our winners here are:

  1. The NYC-LHR (or ZRH) route, which will cost you a measly 32,000 Skymiles
  2. The IND-CDG route at 34,000 Skymiles
  3. The PDX-LHR route, which will only set you back 36,000 Skymiles. You can’t cross the continental US for four thousand miles, let alone connect to a transatlantic flight.

A quick look at a dates in April-May for a five night stay from PDX-LHR averages around ~$1100:

And even Seattle, which was on sale last week, is still showing fares averaging in the $700’s. So even if you’re not stationed in Portland, it could be well worth a positioning flight to get there. This is especially true as Portland is a hub and frequently has cheap fares up and down the West Coast.

Between these three options, most people within the US are near enough to for a cheap redemption option. At these rates, you’re getting well over 2 cents per SkyMile and getting a semi-decent flight experience to boot.

How to Book

Visit Delta’s award sale page for all the different options.

When to Book

Travel must be booked by April 3rd, 2019

Is anyone planning on taking advantage of this?
