In 2025, as part of a staycation, I stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cincinnati SE Newport. This Holiday Inn Express Cincinnati SE Newport review will give an idea of the different amenities and features of the hotel and hopefully help you decide if you want to stay here if you’re looking for a Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky hotel.

Holiday Inn Express Cincinnati SE Newport location

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cincinnati SE Newport, despite listing both Cincinnati and Newport in its official title, is actually located in neither of those 2 cities. It is located at 110 Landmark Drive Bellevue, Kentucky 41073. It’s located right off of I-471, a few miles south of Downtown Cincinnati, and about a 20 minute drive from the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Airport. It’s also on the path of the Southbank Shuttle, which goes between Newport, Covington and Downtown Cincinnati.

Holiday Inn Express Cincinnati cost

We were looking for a cheap Cincinnati hotel, but didn’t want to stay in the absolute cheapest hotel out there. We had an expiring IHG Category 1-4 certificate which is what we used, although it probably wasn’t the greatest use of one of those certificates. The cash cost for our nights was $121 (plus taxes) and the points cost was 25,000 points per night. Still, this certificate was “use it or lose it”, which is why we decided to use it.

Holiday Inn Express Bellevue Kentucky wifi and amenities

Wifi is complimentary in the lobby and in the guest rooms. The Holiday Inn Express Cincinnati SE Newport wifi speed was decent and I had no issues using it.

And of course Holiday Inn Express cinnamon rolls!

One interesting thing that they had, that I hadn’t seen in any other hotels, were coloring pages and crayons that you could use to keep small kids entertained.

The Bottom Line – Holiday Inn Express Cincinnati SE Newport review

If you are looking for a cheap Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky hotel, I thought that the Holiday Inn Express Cincinnati SE Newport had several things going for it. It was very easy to get to from the highway (or airport), and the price was decent.
