Nice idea but completely impractical. If you have a sink with running water at the place you plan on eating, you could keep a set of regular silverware for 1/10th the cost. If you don’t have access to water and dishwashing detergent, do you really want to shove these back in your pocket dirty? The inside of the case will get gross in 2-3 uses.
When you finish using the cutlery set, you can wipe down the utensils heads from excess food with a tissue and store them inside the box neatly until you have access to cleaning water, when you can then wash the whole set in warm soapy water as regualr utensils. The whole set can be disassembled into its parts and the utensil heads unfolded flat for easy cleaning and there are no dirt traps at all. The entire set can be put into a dish washer if desired.
Portableb cutleries such as those designed for camping existed for decades and are used and cleaned the same way.
