You may have noticed a few new bylines on some of the recent articles here at Points With a Crew.  We have brought on 3 new contributors to PWaC – Cam, Erica and Jason.

The three of them will be primarily focus on Deals and Travel News, but probably sprinkling in some trip reports and other posts as well.  Don’t worry, I (Dan) am still here, and I will be continuing to post on my regular cadence as well.  Sam, Ian and Sharon, who came onboard back in 2016, are all still around too.  You can see the author’s byline at the beginning of each post – posts written by Dan Miller are written by… well… me, and other authors will be similarly attributed.

Hopefully it won’t be too confusing 🙂

Meet the new PWaC contributors

  • Cam Hadfield – Cam came back from an 18 day trip to Peru 3 years ago. Still travel-high, he checked his bank account…and knew there was a better way. A few new countries, a World Wonder, and 3 million points later, he’s happy to be joining Points With a Crew. Between holiday weekend flights, Cam works in the property management field, and keeps busy rock climbing. Cam and his family reside in the Boston area, where his proximity to Logan International keeps him thinking of the next stamp in his passport. When he isn’t planning a trip, dealing with adult responsibilities, or convincing his son that dads can be cool, he’ll be tapping on the keyboard for you guys.
  • Erica Driscoll – Erica has always loved to travel. She and her husband have been avid travel deal hunters since 2008 and were introduced to the world of miles and points in the summer of 2012. After having three kids in three years, points and miles have allowed them to continue exploring the world as a family. If you ever see her in the airport, she’s probably the mom with one kid on her back and another in the stroller running to their next flight or trying to find the nearest club lounge. She lives in the Washington DC area and writes about activities for kids in Northern Virginia and DC at Kids In Arlington and also posts about her travels on Instagram @harmonyinchaos
  • Jason Francisco – Jason is a fellow miles and points travel enthusiast. He has his own travel blog site at DaddyTravels. Just like PWaC, Jason also has a big family. He and his wife, Nancy, have four growing kids (2 boys and 2 girls). They live in Southern California. Jason loves a great deal, and his passion is sharing his tales that allow him to take his family around the world for nearly free. What was Jason’s “a-ha” moment? He was on a business trip in NYC a few years ago, and had asked his wife to join him on a whim. She paid over $800 for the ticket. While it was a fantastic business trip with a bit of pleasure/sightseeing after hours, Jason vowed to never pay such absurd amount again. His prized trips include paying $11/person to Hawaii, NYC, Toronto, and Washingon DC. He also paid $325 roundtrip ticket to from LA to Singapore, $400 roundtrip ticket from LA to Australia, $99 one way from LA to Iceland, and visited multiple cities and countries in Europe using points and only paid over $100/person. Most recently, he sent his extended family to the Philippines for free (using points) with 4 roundtrip tickets. With miles and points, traveling has indeed become a worth hobby for Jason and his family. If Jason can do all this with his party of six, you can, too.

Please join me in welcoming Cam, Erica and Jason as PWaC contributors!
