American Airlines and her Oneworld Alliance partners are offering some great deals to Switzerland from New York’s JFK. While we often get good prices from the northeast to this area, not only are these rock bottom fares but the main cabin options are also great too. These prices are good in fall and winter of this year, allowing for sightseeing and Alpine skiing. These prices include weekend departures, and are good for Thanksgiving travel too, allowing you to maximize vacation time. Sightly lower prices are available but require notably longer layovers.

  • Zurich from $253 ($329 main cabin)
  • Basel from $288 ($408 main cabin)

As noted, the lowest prices are basic economy which includes meals and a carry-on. But the prices for main cabin are excellent too, and you should probably just book those for the seat selection and checked bag. Those are generally available by booking direct, while the basic economy fares are also on OTAs. I’d expect these prices to move back up about $100 – $150 more relatively soon, so hop on these now if you’re looking for Swiss flights at a great price.
