Usually Southwest runs a nationwide sale, but they have two sales going at the same time right now. First, their nationwide sale includes Hawaii flights originating in California; it’s the first time flights to the island have been included in a major sale since the incredible launch sale last spring. If you’re working towards the SWA Companion Pass, what better way to do so by than by hitting the beach this spring?
Fares to/from the islands are advertised at $139, including flights from San Diego, Oakland, San Jose. $278 round trip to Hawaii is a great deal, especially including bags for your swim gear and souvenirs.
The Hawaii fares are part of their USA-wide sale, with prices advertised from $49 and up. As usual, fares are often cheaper than advertised on the sale page. For instance, flights between Baltimore and Chicago Midway show a sale price of $146, but are as low as $54,that saves you over 60%!
Southwest is also hosting a sale to Mexico, Central America, & the Caribbean. Beach destinations like Aruba and Cozumel are included as well as cities like Havana, Cuba and Liberia, Costa Rica. US cities across the Midwest and Southeast are included as origins. Again: click through to the calendar as prices are often lower than advertised.
Advertised fares for this route are $180, but they are really as cheap as $103
Whenever Southwest hosts a sale, make sure you check any existing flights you have already purchased. Southwest has no change fees, and if the sale price is lower you will receive a credit for the difference usable for future SWA fares. Plus, if you are unsure after you buy one of these flights, remember that any fare marketed in the US is free to cancel within 24 hours.
Both of these sales end March 5 (Thursday) at 11:59 pm, so act quickly for great deals to the beach this spring. See below for more details.
