In these current times any free money you can get is welcome. I consider a credit from Amazon to be almost as good as cash since we get a few packages from them each week. Most other households probably do as well since Amazon sells just about everything. I recently needed to hit a spend on a credit card to earn the welcome bonus and was running short on time. The current economic environment has us watching our expenditures so reaching a required spend was taking longer than normal.
How I Got the $10 Amazon Credit
In order to successfully hit my spend and earn the credit card welcome bonus I went to Amazon to reload a gift card to my account. These are funds we will use anyways, and this “prepayment” allowed me to hit the spend on my new card. As an added bonus I was able to take advantage of an Amazon offers of $10 bonus on a reload of $100 or more. The credit posted to my account at the same time that my $100 purchase showed.
The offer has been fairly longstanding, but I had somehow overlooked it in the past. If I missed it, I imagine others have as well. Here is the link for your free $10 Amazon credit. Below is the fine print.
- The offer only applies to the first reload of your own Amazon.com Gift Card Balance.
- For qualifying purchases, a $10 Amazon.com Gift Card reward will be automatically applied to the account used to reload within 24-48 hours after the reload order has been placed.
- Offer is limited to one $10 Amazon.com Gift Card reward per customer and account.
- Offer is limited to Amazon Prime members.
- Reload amount must be at least $100.
