I don’t talk always talk about all of the fare deals out there – if you want to really be on top of those things, I recommend sites like The Flight Deal or Secret Flying.
Still, sometimes there are deals that are SO good that I feel it’s worth a post to make sure it’s known to a wider audience. My threshhold is about $200 – if you’re getting anywhere outside the US for $200, that is something that might be worth jumping on.
According to Secret Flying, Flight Deal, One Mile at a Time and others, there are flights going from the US to New Zealand for as low as $210. If this is interesting to you, I suggest jumping on this asap as it is out all over the blogs (this one included, obviously), and will likely dry up fast
Finding the US to New Zealand flight
Secret Flying has a list of dates that work(ed), at least at the time of the post, but it appears you do have to depart from Los Angeles or San Francisco.
They recommend using Momondo – I could not replicate using Google Flights.
Remember, book first and ask questions later! Most airlines give you 24 hours to cancel any flights. If you’re reading this later and the deal has already passed, remember to check out 5 steps to get you ready for the next mistake fare sale!
Good luck and happy booking!

The daily email just gives all the posts from the previous day. This post went out 4/12 at about 7 a.m. and you’re right – by the next day it was well over
