REMINDER: Reposting this as the last day to sign up for this offer is October 20th (Friday).  Also check out the Delta cards on our top credit card offers page as they are up to all time highs.

Last week, we wrote about a way to earn up to 40,000 Hilton points by adding authorized users to your American Express Hilton Honors or Hilton Surpass cards.  It appears that Hilton cards are not the ONLY American Express cards that have a bonus for adding authorized users.

Delta American Express authorize user bonus

While logging into my American Express account this morning to quadruple check that my Nike / Marriott / Walmart Amex offers had FINALLY posted (sheesh that took FOREVER!), I noticed an interesting Amex Offer

I also saw it as a promo bar at the top of the page.

Details on the Amex Delta authorized user bonus

It is not clear if this is a targeted offer or not.  I don’t see anything in my email about it, and the Hilton offer appeared to be open to everyone, even though only some people got emails.

If you have a Delta card, check your Amex Offers section to see.  You can also access the add Authorized Users page here (login required). I got an error the first time I tried to access it but finally was able to see it

A word of caution – cards added will count towards Chase’s 5/24 for the authorized users, though you can often override that by calling in.  And adding lots of AU cards may sometimes trigger Amex financial review. So do proceed with caution if you decide to take on this offer. While authorized users’ social security numbers and birthdays are not required at the time of adding, you still need to provide the information to Amex within 60 days of account opening.

It’s not clear to me if the same bonus exists for Platinum Delta cards, but I’d imagine so

Good luck out there and happy travels!
