There are currently 2 promotions ongoing where it might make sense to do some mattress running at a Wyndham.  If you’ll recall, Wyndham recently changed their loyalty program where EVERY hotel in the chain costs 15,000 points for a free night (or 3,000 points plus a cash copay).  This can lend itself to some pretty amazing redemptions – there are hotels that run for $500 / night in New York City and other expensive places (all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean!) that are only 15,000 points / night!

Promotion 1 – 7500 points for paying with Masterpass

This has been an ongoing promotion where you can get 7500 Wyndham Rewards points for paying with Masterpass.  Masterpass is a payment network like ApplePay, SamsungPay, Paypal, etc.  So you don’t have to pay with a Mastercard

The official promotion page is hereInvalid request error occurred. and Miles to Memories has some more details. You have to stay by October 31st and this is good for 2 stays (15,000 points total)

Promotion 2 – 10,000 points for one stay (check email / account)

Frequent Miler had a post out this morning talking about a promotion that was possibly targeted, offering

I don’t think it’s targeted (though I could be wrong) – I had no email from Wyndham, and when I logged into my account I saw

a screenshot of a coupon

I registered and it took me to the following promo pageInvalid request error occurred. which does not appear to be targeted (but you do need to register)

For this promo, you need to book by September 30th and stay by October 9th.

I tried signing up a new account and it did NOT have this promotion, so perhaps YMMV on this one – in any case check your email or your Wyndham account

But wait! There’s more!

There is also an increased offer on the Barclaycard Wyndham credit card – 45,000 points after spending $2000 in the first 3 months (30K after 1st purchase and 15,000 more after the $2000 spend).  There is a $75 annual fee, not waived the first year, and I do not earn a commission if you apply through this link.

There’s also a no annual fee card that gives 18,000 as a bonus.

I’ve heard (but have no real confirmation) that these offers expire today (8/9).

Mattress Running

Of all the chains to mattress fun, Wyndham is probably the best i.e. cheapest.  Here’s a random Super 8 here in Cincinnati

Up to you whether you ACTUALLY want to stay the night…. I’ve stayed at a Super 8 before and it wasn’t bad

What do you think?  Will you be mattress running these Wyndham promotions?  Where are you going to stay?
