WOW Air is having a 50% off Christmas sale special.I flew WOW Air, and since I did my homework and did extensive research, I knew what to expect, and was surprised that I had a great WOW experience.
In a nutshell
- Choose your destination from one of the many US airports served by WOW Air.
- Travel dates: Between Dec. 12, 2018 and March 31, 2019
- Use Promo Code: WOWXMAS
- Book by: Dec 16, 2018
Sample Fares from New York and Boston from $135 round trip
Do your homework
Please know that this price is their basic price, meaning it only includes bringing a small personal item. There are other charges to consider if you plan on bringing a carryon or a checked luggage. If you do so, I suggest prepaying for those ahead of time (versus at check-in at the airport). The price is cheaper when paid prior to the flight.
Just as a point of reference, when we flew WOW Air in 2017, we went from LA to Iceland, and then Iceland to Stockholm, and then on the return we flew from Stockholm back to LA. The price breakdown was:
- LA to Iceland (Reykjavik) – $99
- Iceland to Sweden (Stockholm) – $80
- Sweden to Los Angeles – $199
We grabbed the opportunity and had a great experience with WOW. As I had mentioned, we did our homework. We managed our expectation. We brought our own food onboard. There were a couple of times when we bought pizza sold by WOW and it wasn’t overly expensive. So if you consider WOW, just make sure you do your research. It could pay off if you’re on a budget. Just know that if you choose to pay for reserve seating, carryon or checked luggage, the price will go up and you should consider pricing out the other competitors and see which one will work best with your budget. Good luck.
