Just wanted to write a quick note that I got a postcard in the mail from Best Western offering 5000 points as well as an easy way to renew elite status
The text on the other side says:
- Stay just once and we’ll extend your elite status through 2018
- Stay just twice to maintain your elite status, PLUS earn 5000 bonus points
In a twist of irony, I actually just DID stay at a Best Western earlier this month – the Best Western Hotellby Arlanda was the last of my 3 hotel stays for my trip in Stockholm, though it was an award stay so I don’t think it will count for this promotion
Best Western has one of the most generous status match programs out there. I am a Best Western Diamond member (status matched from IHG I believe), which has not meant a ton to my life :-). Most Best Western hotels have not been large enough where I get any sort of upgrade or any type of special services. One other possibility is that you may be able to use Diamond status at Best Western to status match to other chains.
Still, if you stay at Best Western hotels, this may be something to be on the look out for.
