FlyingBlue, the loyalty program of Air France and KLM), offers a number of promotional awards on the first day of each month. The typical discount is around 20-25%, but they can be as deep as 50%. Promo Awards are mostly for economy flights, but a few awards in business class are usually available. New FlyingBlue Promo Awards for July 2017 is now bookable online.
FlyingBlue Promo Awards – July 2017
FlyingBlue Promo Awards for July 2017 is valid for bookings made between July 1 and July 31, 2017. Unfortunately just like June 2017 Promo Awards, this month’s list is very short for North America. The following routes are available and travel dates vary.
Available in business class for 46,875 miles each way between:
- Toronto to Europe, travel between 10/1/17 – 10/31/17;
- Calgary to Europe, travel between 10/1/17 – 10/31/17.
Available in economy class for 18,750 miles each way between:
- Paris-Orly and New York JFK, travel between 9/1/17 — 10/31/17;
- Vancouver to Europe, travel between 10/1/17 – 10/31/17.
Reservation must be made on Air France or KLM website, except for bookings for children, infants and minors which are not bookable online. Promo Awards are available for one-way as well as roundtrip.
You can include in the award a connection to other cities in Europe from Paris or Amsterdam at no additional cost. Also, FlyingBlue has a fairly broad definition of what constitutes Europe. You can really leverage this in your favor. Flights to Israel and Morocco, for an example, should all price out as “Europe” awards.
FlyingBlue does charge fuel surcharges on its own flights, so keep that in mind when determining if an award is a good deal. For round-trip flights between North America and Europe, expect to pay about $300 in surcharges (and even more in a premium cabin).
