Recently as part of my first transcontinental flight, I was transiting through Boston and had the opportunity to visit the American Airlines Admirals Club BOS. In this Boston / BOS American Airlines Admirals Club Lounge Review, I’ll run through the food, wifi speed, seating and other lounge amenities so you can decide if this is worth a visit on your next trip to Boston.
American Airlines Admirals Club BOS access requirements
To access any American Airlines Admirals Club, you must meet one of three requirements:
- Be an Admirals Club member
- Traveling in First or Business on a qualifying same-day international, transcontinental or other domestic flight marketed and operated by American, a oneworld® airline or marketed by Aer Lingus* and operated by American
- Have American Airlines Platinum or higher status, or Alaska Gold or higher status, and be on a qualifying departing or arriving international flights marketed and operated by American, a oneworld® airline, or marketed by Aer Lingus and operated by American (regardless of cabin).
- Oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status through an international carrier
We were all flying on Flagship business class on American Airlines from Los Angeles to Boston, so we all had access to the American Airlines Admirals Club BOS. We actually had an all-day layover in Boston (before continuing onto our final destination of Cincinnati) and had left the airport, so I was not sure if they would let us in to the Admirals Club or not. It’s my understanding that our BOS-CVG tickets (even though they were in domestic first) would normally not grant us access, but our Flagship Business from LAX-BOS did, and sure enough, after showing our LAX-BOS boarding passes, we were let in with no problem.
American Airlines Admirals Club Boston Location
The American Airlines Admirals Club BOS location is in Terminal B, outside of Gate B4

American Airlines Boston Admirals Club airport lounge seating
There are quite a few seating areas at the American Airlines Admirals Club Boston
One thing that was nice was that there were several different configurations, which allow you to get a preferred kind of seat no matter what you’re looking for.
American Airlines Admirals Club BOS Review: food
The food at the American Airlines Admirals Club Boston is similar to that at any other Admirals Club. They have a variety of small finger foods, soups and desserts, but nothing super substantial. They do have additional food available for purchase if you want.
There are also drinks including a Coca-Cola self-serve machine
The American Airlines Admirals Club Boston main area had a bar where you could order alcoholic drinks as well.
American Airlines Admirals Club Boston wifi
The American Airlines Admirals Club Boston airport lounge wifi speed was okay.
I didn’t have any trouble accessing the Internet or watching videos or doing anything else online during my time in the Admirals Club.
American Airlines Admirals Club Boston airport lounge amenities
Besides restrooms, there are also shower suites, which have to be reserved at the front desk.
There is also a small kids’ room, with toys and a TV.
They also have a small business center with a computer and printer, should you need that.
There are two phone booths, and there was actually someone using one instead of just loudly having their phone conversation in the middle of the lounge!!
And of course, one of the best amenities is the ability to watch the planes coming and going. The American Airlines Admirals Club BOS faces the terminal and there were plenty of planes out.
The Bottom Line – American Airlines Admirals Club Boston Lounge Review
If you have access to the American Airlines Boston Admirals Club Lounge, you will almost certainly want to spend some time here. The seating options are plentiful including some with great tarmac views. The food is okay though not as good as some of the other lounges like Polaris, Capital One or Centurion lounges. The Wifi is solid and it’s definitely a place worth visiting if you have a layover between flights.
