Interesting find by FlyerTalk member channa: Bay area-Dallas/Austin first class round trip fares for $318 – $357 on Alaska Airlines. Fares are good in both directions, with San Jose – Austin at $318, Dallas – San Francisco at $337, and San Francisco – Dallas for $357; note that San Francisco to Austin is not on sale. Also note that the Dallas airport is Love Field.

With no minimum stay these fares are great for mileage/status runs as well as work and family travel. A round trip would earn about 5,100 miles before elite bonuses.

These fares are for Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday travel from late August through October. In some cases, like Dallas – San Francisco, the deal runs into next year for $20 more. If you’d rather save the cash and/or you earn a lot of Chase Ultimate Rewards, this deal is just over 21K UR in the Chase travel portal with the Sapphire Reserve.

First class means two free checked bags and, of course, seat selection. According to FT, these flights are operated on Embraer 175s, which is a pretty comfortable domestic first class seat. Especially if you get the “A” side – a single seat that is both “aisle” and “window”.

These deals are bookable directly with Alaska or with online travel agencies. When searching on Google Flights look for “business” class, and on OTAs search for “first” class. Given this is a nice discount from regular pricing (~$550) I’d expect these prices to disappear within a day or two so book soon if these flights work for you.
