The fourth day of Daily Getaways 2019 brings us 50% off certificates that are good toward Alamo car rentals. As someone who rents vehicles frequently, I am often looking at ways to save on car rentals, although I am going to pass on this deal (with the goal of getting on the Hertz deal coming in a few weeks). Here are the quick details on this getaway:

  • $50 certificate toward Alamo car rental (sold for $25, 50% off)
  • Maximum quantity of three (3) per purchase
  • Total of 2,200 certificates available.

The fine print

As always, there is some fine print to these deals. While this would seem that a certificate would take the rental to half off (as you’re spending $25 for $50), you unfortunately cannot apply it toward the taxes or fees. The amount of the certificate can be applied to the base rate only. Keep this in mind, as the certificate can only be used once, so make sure you use it on a rental where base rental charges total more than $50 to get the full value. The certificate is also only good for rentals within the United States.

Your certificate will be delivered within five business of purchase, and the email will contain information about how to redeem it. If using more than one certificate at a time, you will unfortunately have to call to redeem.

This Daily Getaway opens at 1:00 PM Eastern! You can click the “Alert Me” button to be notified when it goes live, but I prefer to set a reminder for 5 minutes prior and then keep refreshing the page, especially for deals with very, very limited purchase quantity.
