It’s the last week of Daily Getaways 2019! While I’m bummed about my favorite discount bonanza of the year ending, my wallet (which is currently in hiding, sobbing) thanks me. That being said, we are now officially to my most looked-forward-to week of the Getaways, which consists of only two paltry deals. I say ‘paltry,’ but I mean ‘I’m going to try to buy all of these.’ I mean, come on, look at these discounts!

Ok, so admittedly you can purchase Hilton points often with a 100% bonus, which effectively matches these limited-time deals. However, one massive point in favor here is that these points shouldn’t count against your 80,000 purchased points/ year cap (which doubles to 160,000 received in those 100% bonus promotions). That, to me, transforms this from a decent deal to an awesome deal, as I can stack both offers together for a purchase of 410k Hilton points in a single year. (Or, if I went totally crazy, I could buy all of these Getaways and my max cap for a total of 600k points in a year. With that, I could spend more than a week at the Hilton Conrad Maldives, which happens to be my most favorite (and expensive) Hilton property.
Will I do that? Probably not. But I will try to buy both Hilton and Hyatt points, as the Hyatt deal represents one of the best values on purchased points we’ll see.
Anyway, long story short, this week is my favorite week of the Getaways and the time I’m going to try and buy everything I can get my hands on.

While I think that the Hyatt deal is a really good value, you might consider mentioning that the odds of getting one of the packages is pretty much zero. I’ve tried for years without success. OMAAT has suggested that programmers are writing code that takes all availability the instant it opens.
I don’t see this as that good of a deal. I mean $150 for 30,000 Hilton points isn’t that good. 30,000 is usually the cost of one night at a standard Hampton Inn just about anywhere, and I can usually, though not always, get a Hampton for less than $150. I would certainly never pay more than that if paying myself. So it’s kind of a wash.
I had 4 browsers open, fast internet, jumped on it right at 1pm, tried over and over for 20 minutes straight. After 20 minutes they were all gone. Seems like they need to be LESS popular for people to have a chance. Although there were plenty that I was NOT interested in (Vegas & Orlando) this year.
