Delta’s weekly SkyMiles deal returns with deals to Asia and Australia. These aren’t quite the sale as last week’s flash sale, but there are more offers available with a few more days to buy.

As usual, deals extend slightly past the official dates noted. Finding really solid deals takes some effort this time. Probably the best are the cheapest, such as 34K (and $56) for Seattle to Tokyo in November, where you’re getting about 1.8 cents/SkyMile.

Other options aren’t as good, especially when the fees start adding up. That’s mainly due to the never-ending deals offered buy Chinese airlines keeping Asia prices low. 44,000 SkyMiles (& $41) Boston – Beijing isn’t really a deal if you can fly United for $576. This is closer to Delta’s strategy of “1 SkyMile = 1 cent”. While these might not be the most exciting offers, if a deal gets you where you want to go it can be a good deal.
