Radisson Rewards, the renamed Club Carlson program, is offering 2,500 Aeroplan miles per stay between August 30 and November 30. The promotion is good for up to 2 stays, which caps you at earning 5,000 miles. It would have been cool for this to be uncapped, but it makes sense, as this is a very good return per stay. At 1.5 cents per point, this is a return of $37.50 per night in value.

Reading the terms and conditions, you’ll earn 2,500 miles after any stay of 1 or more nights that is eligible for earning Radisson points. You’ll earn an additional 2.500 miles after your second stay. Points will be deposited 4-6 weeks after November 30, 2018, so don’t expect to get to use these right away.

Registration is required, and you can register for the promotion here.

Is it worth earning Aeroplan miles?

Yes, yes it is. A month ago, I may not have been signing the same tune; however, we recently found out the likely fate of the Aeroplan program. Aeroplan was set to lose Air Canada as a transfer partner in mid-2020, but now it looks like Aeroplan will become Air Canada’s new, promised loyalty program. Earning Aeroplan miles is a fairly safe bet in my mind in terms of value [SEE: The 4 best uses of Aeroplan miles (updated 2017)].

I’ve already registered. I stayed at a Country Inn & Suites during a promotion this spring to earn some bonus points. This current promotion may be enough to get me to pick a Radisson property, if suitable and available, for a couple work stays in the next couple months.
